Karen took a skin camouflage course with ' The British Association of Skin Camouflage ' in Chester and became an expert in the art of covering scars tattoo's etc.
Skin Camouflage.
This specialist service provides support and instruction to men, women and children who have a skin abnormality.
Firstly, a list of what can be camouflaged:-
Port-wine Stain, Birth mark, Vitiligo, Age spots, Scars, Burn injuries, Acne, Skin-grafts, Leg veins, cleft lip, cholasma/melasma, Rosacea, Tattoos,Lupus, Neurofibromatosis(cafe`au lait marks), psoriasis ,Kaposi's sarcoma (KS), Congenital melanocytic naevi and moles, Stretch marks,Lentigines and solar lentigo, spider /thread veins, Freckles, leucoderma, Xanthelasma.
What a consultation involves.
To begin with we need to establish what your expected outcome is and what level of coverage you would be comfortable with, when these questions have been answered, an acceptable skin match is the next step, this may take some time.
Once skin match has been agreed, i shall show you the correct application method, a chance for you to practice too, when you get used to applying the camouflage you will become much quicker.
Information on products used.
How often to apply, what activities you may do wearing camouflage, how long it should last on the skin, removal and explain the shelf life of the products, everything you need to know.
I will also list the products used, colours and where you may purchase the products if not able to get on prescription.
