My initial interest in makeup began with seeing the transformations that can be created with makeup when applied correctly. I enrolled and completed a 3-year HND course in make up artistry in Clydebank College, Scotland, as with the training for eyelash extensions. These courses exceeded my expectations of the makeup skills needed in the make-up industry. I am always open to new challenges to further push my abilities and keep up to date on all the latest techniques.
The process and results that can be created with correctly applied make up are what still holds my passion in the industry today.
Karen also volunteers for 'Look Good ...Feel Better' A Beauty Industry charity who donate cosmetics from many different companies, which are put into a pack for patients with cancer, the volunteers (makeup artists and cosmetic counter assistants) give their free time to show the patients how to look after their skin and apply makeup.
